Yesterday, I discovered that someone ripped 12 checks out of my law firm cost account and started writing checks. The first was for $1,300. The second was for $195. The third (posted this morning after I left a message with the bank check fraud department) was for $1,700.
I had left my checkbook out – for some time in plain sight. I don’t know when the checks were taken, but I am presuming that it was within the last few days.
Moral of the story: keep your checks and credit cards hidden.
I’m sure there will be more to this story, as it unfolds. As for now, I am headed to the police department to make a report.
As usual. I look for any postings by you, and praise the lord. I am never disappointed. Learning from a son makes me feel like your dad and I really had a purpose. Proud to feel we measured up..look in the mirror son, and be as proud as we are! LOVE YOU TONS! Mom
