Black and White Cookie Recipe

Black and White Cookie Recipe

When I was a kid, one of my favorite things in the world was the Black and White cookie from Brown’s Bakery in North Hollywood, CA. Sadly, that place is no longer around… and I spent a few years missing the cookie… until I discovered a recipe in the now-defunct Gourmet magazine. The recipe is […]

A few things today…

A few things today…

First, I played around with Premiere Elements 10 today, briefly… particularly the “crop” function to get some split screen stuff. Subject matter: a video I have wanted to do for awhile on how folks on YouTube create “EXPOSED” videos against each other, misusing the term (as the stuff they are exposing is already exposed). Second, […]

Sharing Highs and Lows

A few weeks ago, Rich Melheim gave a message at my church that discussed the importance of sharing highs and lows together as a family. Rich told us to try it out. He said: at night, before bed, share highs and lows, share Scripture, and pray together, reflecting on those highs and lows and -perhaps […]

A sign of aging…

A sign of aging…

Got this CD for $4.99 in the “bargain bin” at Best Buy. I never was much of a fan of country music, and I merely picked this up because I am trying to expand my musical knowledge in order to expand my songwriting skills. I must confess, however, that this CD is absolutely amazing. It […]

I reluctantly watched […]

Still in the studio…

This is my record producer, drummer, friend, and all around good guy, Nick Karvon, trying to show guitarist Lance Fooks how to play a particular part. Pay no mind to the fact that Nick cannot play the guitar.

In May, 2005, Rob was a secular, Jewish, thirty-something, Los Angeles, personal injury attorney whose idea of getting up early on a Sunday was getting up for the third quarter of the first televised, NFL games.

Thirsting on the idea of playing in a band for the first time in a decade, Rob finally accepted his neighbor's request to get up at seven-in-the-morning on Sundays in order to participate.

Eleven months later, his world was turned upside down by Jesus. Instantly, he began leading songs on the worship team and was the worship leader from 2010-2022.

Rob is now the worship leader at Calvary Chapel Malibu. He released his fifth album “The Author of My Story” on December 15, 2023, available on all of your favorite streaming platforms… and he is preparing to launch a new Christian teaching podcast called “Christ Supremacist.”
